Do more of what makes you happy!

Easy enough, right? When I’m feeling stressed and overwhelmed, though, it can feel impossible to think of anything that feels happy. So I’ve started keeping track of the moments and experiences that bring me joy. What excites me? What lights me up? I think that simply paying attention and seeking out those moments and experiences will make them even better. I want to notice, to relish the feeling. To be aware and grateful.

 

1. Coffee with a best friend

2. Going on a walk or hike with a best friend

3. When my house is clean

4. Spending time outside (preferably hiking)

5. Standing on the top of a mountain

6. Eggs with Hollandaise

7. Toast with butter and raspberry jam

8. Going out for breakfast

9. Finishing a project. “Before” and “After” pictures!

10. Watching a movie with my kids that they get really into

11. Beautiful sunsets
